The Nepali Spice Co. team is made up of volunteers who are passionate about the mission of the company.
Nepali Spice Co. is also governed by a Board of Directors.


Bhim Thapaliya

Bhim is the founder and president of the Nepali Spice Company. He graduated from Elizabethtown College and has been empowering Nepali immigrants/refugees through education and mentorship over the past several years in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He is very passionate about changing the lives of refugees and the underprivileged women of the Himalayas in Nepal.  His hobbies include traveling, reading books, and meditation, and he enjoys every moment of life


David Nagel-Nunez, CPA

David is the CFO of the Nepali Spice Company.  He graduated from Elizabethtown College in 2015 with a Bachelor's in Accounting and is working as a senior accountant at Bertz, Hess & Co., LLP in Lancaster, PA.  He has a passion for helping other, especially refugees and underprivileged individuals.  He enjoys traveling, cooking, exercising, and photography. 


Ken McCrea, PhD

Ken is the COO of the Nepali Spice Company. He is an environmental consultant, performing wetland delineations for individuals and businesses. He received a PhD from Purdue University in ecology. He has worked as a researcher at Bucknell University and a water quality specialist for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  He enjoys doing genealogical and historical research in his spare time.


Laurel Etter Longnecker

Laurel is the Sales and Marketing officer for Nepali Spice Company. Her Master’s degree in Resilient and Sustainable Communities coupled with her background in anthropology and environmental studies provides a holistic approach to problem solving. She has experience working with a women’s group in Nepal as well as with local refugees in Lancaster. She is passionate about uncovering human potential and utilizing resources for maximum social and environmental benefits.
